1.5.11. Air filter

GENERAL INFORMATION

Pollution of a filtering element of the air filter not only reduces engine capacity and considerably increases fuel consumption, but also can result in premature wear of the engine.

In normal conditions there is no need to check the air filter more often than is defined in "The guide to car service". If the car is maintained on very dusty roads, the air filter is necessary for checking more often, probably even every day.

Prevention

It is impossible to clear or impregnate a paper filtering element with the gasoline, cleaning solutions or oil.
